The Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) was founded in 1986 by Rhonda Morgan. MCSCis a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the search for abducted and runaway children. MCSC provides a comprehensive investigative program called Project: Reunite, free of charge, to assist police and searching parents in the active ongoing search for missing children. Project: Reunite is the only program of its kind in Canada. Our professional on-staff investigators and case administrators are hands-on in the search for missing children.

MCSC investigators are often required to travel to interview family members and witnesses, pursue tips, generate new leads, conduct ground search activities, and work with the media, the police and the family. Project: Reunite provides assistance in cases involving stranger abductions, parental abductions, international parental abductions, runaways and unknown disappearances.

Project: Reunite provides:

• Professional investigations conducted by on-staff retired police officers and highly experienced case administrators,
• Professional support services program, including scent & cadaver dogs, dive teams, ground search personnel, polygraphists, handwriting and statement analysis, etc.
• International poster and photo distribution network,
• International emergency fax distribution program,
• International toll free tip line,
• Reward program,
• Parent telephone support, referral and reunification assistance programs.

Project: Reunite is successful. The program helps over 500 families each year and has assisted police in closing over 4,500 cases since the project began. Project: Reunite is accredited by the RCMP National Missing Childrens Services in Ottawa; has received awards for its work with the Toronto Fugitive Squad and is recognized by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, as well as other police officers and searching agencies that we work with throughout the world.

Approximately 60,000 children are reported missing each year in Canada. While most return home within a short period of time, many others do not. It is for these children that the search must continue.
